Fifty years ago, in a small garage with a single employee and a big dream, Rodger Breda set out to build something that would last—not just a business, but a legacy. Today, BREDA Pest Management proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary, and with over 190 employees, 160 service vehicles, and thousands of loyal customers across Georgia, it's clear that dream has come to life in ways even Rodger himself couldn't have imagined.

As we mark this incredible milestone, we're taking a moment to look back at our story, celebrate how far we've come, and honor the people who made it all possible.


From One Customer to Thousands: Our Humble Beginnings

Founded on April 24, 1975, BREDA Pest Management was born from a simple but powerful idea: provide quality service at reasonable prices, and satisfied customers will spread the word. Rodger Breda launched the company with just one customer and a single employee—himself. He wasn't looking for shortcuts or explosive growth. Instead, he focused on one thing: earning trust, one home at a time.

Over the next five decades, that mindset never changed. BREDA grew the old-fashioned way—by delivering excellent service, fostering real relationships, and staying true to our values. We've never merged with or been acquired by another company. Every bit of our growth has come from doing right by our customers and letting our work speak for itself.

Today, we're proud to be one of Georgia's leading pest and termite control providers—and to still be locally owned and operated.


Q&A With Our Founder, Rodger Breda

To truly understand what sets BREDA apart, you have to go back to where it all started—with the man who dared to build a business on his own terms. We sat down with Rodger to reflect on his journey.

What inspired you to found BREDA Pest Management?

"I've always had a genuine passion for the pest control industry. Solving problems that impact people's health and comfort is incredibly rewarding. But more than that, I wanted the freedom to build a company based on my values—where customer care and integrity weren't just buzzwords but the foundation of everything we do."

What company accomplishment are you most proud of?

"Seeing my two sons thrive within the company is, hands down, the greatest reward. They've taken our mission to heart and continue to drive us forward with humility, innovation, and dedication. That's the legacy I always hoped for—not just a strong business, but a strong family leading it."

What's your best advice for another company trying to make it 50 years?

"Enjoy what you do—and show up with purpose every day. This is a people business, not just pest control. If you stay passionate, lead with integrity, and truly care for your team and your customers, success will follow."

What's your biggest hope for BREDA over the next 50 years?

"That we never forget this is a team game. Every role matters. When people feel seen and appreciated, they bring their best—and that's what will carry BREDA into the future. I hope we always lead with gratitude and build a culture where everyone knows they belong."
